Chickenpox, a common and mild disease caused by a virus, is currently circulating on the island.
The virus mostly affects children, although you can get it at any age and it usually gets better by itself within a week.
Public Health said: “Anyone with it should stay away from school, nursery or work until all the spots have crusted over.
“This is usually 5 days after the spots first appeared. You can find out more about symptoms here https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/chickenpox/
“It’s rare for pregnant women to get chickenpox and the chance of it causing complications is low.
“If you are pregnant AND have been in close contact with someone with confirmed chickenpox AND haven’t previously had chickenpox, speak to your GP or midwife for further advice.”
