Chief Minister Alfred Cannan MHK was in Guernsey today representing the Isle of Man at the 45th British‑Irish Council Summit.
Guernsey, as host administration, selected the theme of strengthening early years and supporting happy, healthy childhoods.
Mr Cannan said the wellbeing of children remains a “key priority” for the Isle of Man Government and highlighted the value of sharing approaches with neighbouring nations.
The Summit brings together heads of government and ministers from across the UK, Ireland and the Crown Dependencies to discuss areas of mutual interest.
Mr Cannan is one of the longest‑serving senior politicians on the Council and has now represented the island at nine Summits.
