Manx athlete Christa Cain was crowned the winner of the 2024 Veteran Sportsperson of the year at last nights Isle of Man Sports Awards.
Christa only took up running a remarkable three years ago and is quite literally running her way around the world.
The Manx woman is constantly breaking records and recording new personal bests.
In 2024, Christa beat her own marathon personal best by over 10 minutes.
Veteran Winner
Christa ran her first Marathon in October 2022, and has gone on to break the Manx marathon record which stood for 30 years.
Speaking to Manx.News Christa said it was “completely unexpected” to pick up the award.
In a few weeks time Christa will head to the London Marathon before heading to Chicago Marathon later in the year.
