Resurfacing work on Clenagh Road in Lezayre and Jurby has been pushed back after weather‑related delays.
The project had been expected to finish by the end of this week, but heavy rain and very low temperatures have prevented crews from laying asphalt to the required standard.
As a result, additional time is needed to complete the remaining section at the Sandygate end of the route.
To accommodate the revised schedule, the road closure order has been extended for up to a week, now running until Saturday, March 7.
The Department of Infrastructure says the extension will allow the team to finish the works safely and effectively.
