The chairman of Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation has thanked the Veterans Athletics Club for its recent donation.
Members of the club chose to make a donation to the charity instead of reaching a t-shirt at one of their recent events.
The club is associated with the British Masters Athletic Federation and membership can enter British, European and World Master Championship events.
After accepting the check for £600, charity chairman Paul Healey said: “Huge thanks to everyone involved.”
Craig’s Heartstrong has its latest round of free heart screenings coming up later this month and there is a very small number of screenings available.
