Repair works on main road in Colby have been extended to include an additional section of carriageway.
The newly identified area required excavation and the installation of a new concrete sub-base.
The concrete will be left to cure over the weekend before resurfacing takes place next week.
As a result, temporary traffic lights will remain in place until the early part of next week, beginning Monday (January 26).
Due to the extended works, planned roadworks on Beinn y Phott Road, which were scheduled to start on Monday, have been postponed until later in the week.
