Jurby Parish Commissioners have confirmed they are aware of a rare incident of anti‑social behaviour that took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
It is after a dog‑waste bin was damaged and bags of dog waste were thrown around the area and into a nearby garden.
The Board said it acted swiftly, removing the damaged bin for repair, clearing the waste and cleaning the surrounding area to restore it to a safe and tidy condition for residents.
In a statement, the Commissioners said they take such behaviour “very seriously”, describing it as disrespectful to residents and harmful to the wider community.
The Commissioners thanked the residents who reported the incident and the contractor who dealt with the clean‑up promptly.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or other information is encouraged to contact the Isle of Man Constabulary.
The Commissioners added that Jurby is a community residents should be proud of, and urged people to treat public spaces, facilities and neighbours with respect and consideration, stressing that anti‑social behaviour has no place in the parish.
