Ramsey Commissioners has submitted plans for a new flats on the former Close Woirrey sheltered housing and Albert Road School sites.
The proposal, designed by McGarrigle Ayre Architects, includes two separate blocks containing 30 two-bedroom apartments, with 45 parking spaces.
The site, which has been cleared following demolition, is located at the junction of Queens Pier Road and Albert Road.
Block one would contain 12 flats, with the other 18 in the second block. Each apartment would have a gross internal floor area of 67.7 square metres, exceeding the minimum affordable housing standard.
A total of 45 car parking spaces, including four disabled bays, and 40 bicycle spaces are proposed for the site.
The application also includes plans for solar panels, Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery units and hot water heat pumps in each apartment.
The commissioners say the development “will provide necessary residential accommodation to reduce Ramsey Town Commissioners Housing Waiting List”.
