Commissioners ‘pleased’ Funding Has Been Approved

Castletown Commissioners says it’s ‘pleased’ funding has been approved for the second phase of its School Hill redevelopment scheme.

It will consist of 18 bungalows and 30 houses – which will replace the properties built after World War Two.

The second phase of the social housing project is due to cost £13 million and Chair Tony Brown hopes to start the project as ‘quickly’ as possible.

Funding Approved

Mr Brown says the scheme will not have an impact on the rates – and has instead come out of the governments housing deficiency fund.
