Onchan Commissioners has agreed to increase prices at the village’s park.
For residents who use the crown green bowling at Onchan Park, adult and over 65s annual fees will be going up by £5 each.
This will raise the current cost from £75 and £65 to £80 and £70 respectively.
There will be no change to the children’s or new member’s fee.
An increase of £25 will also be made to the ‘bowling festival fee’ which in the next financial year will make it £1,450.
Green fees will be going up, whilst day rates for adults and children will remain the same at £2 for children and over 65s, and £3 for adults.
Prices Increase
At Onchan Park, the board agreed to introduce a new over 65s day ticket for £5, which Commissioner Anthony Allen said he sees ‘no reason’ why it shouldn’t be introduced.
A family of six day ticket will be increased by £5 to ‘align’ with the other family discount tickets – raising it to £40.
Other services which will see charges going up include the cost for a house search – this will be rounded up to £200 and include the building control fee.
And a 10% increase will be introduced on commercial bins.
