A new initiative offering support to women during pregnancy and early motherhood has been launched on the Isle of Man.
The Mama Hub, founded by Hayley Garrett of The Sensory Hub Isle of Man and Vanessa Egisto of Isle of Mama, will provide a welcoming space for women to connect, learn and share experiences.
Both founders, mothers to young children, say the project was created to offer reassurance and practical guidance during what can be an overwhelming stage of life.
Regular sessions will be held at The Sensory Hub at The Roundhouse, featuring expert guest speakers, opportunities to ask questions, practical advice, brunch, and time to meet other women navigating pregnancy or life with young children.
Nurturing Space
Announcing the launch, the founders said they wanted to create “a nurturing space where women can connect and feel supported throughout pregnancy and the early years of motherhood,” adding that they hope the hub will “educate and empower mums‑to‑be and new parents on their journey.”
The first event takes place on Sunday, April 12 and will feature Sanchia Newman, founder of The Pelvic Health Project, who will speak about pelvic health during and after pregnancy.
Organisers say the sessions aim to build a genuine sense of community, helping to reduce the isolation many new and expectant mothers experience.
Further events, guest speakers and pre‑natal courses will be announced in the coming months, with booking details shared via The Mama Hub’s social media channels.
