The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has asked people to consider their community on Bonfire Night.
As part of its Fire Safety guidance for Bonfire Night, it is encouraging awareness of the hazards associated with fireworks and bonfires.
It reminds the public that sparklers can reach temperatures close to 2000 degrees, and to not give to children under 5 years old.
Firework Safety
The service is reminding people to only purchase legal fireworks from a reputable retailer, ensure packaging has CE / UKCA mark.
To make sure store fireworks are safely locked in a cool dry box out of reach of children.
Always read the safety instructions before use with a torch, not a naked flame.
As well as informing neighbours know in advance before you have a bonfire or fireworks.

- Consider your community, consider the wind direction and leave enough space.
