Cringle Conquers British Supermoto Champs

Ryan Cringle has stormed to the 2026 ACU British S1 Championship, the nation’s premier supermoto class, beating second-placed Alex Mullaney by just two points.

After a close-fought season-long battle with Mullaney, a second place finish at the final round at Cadwell Park was enough to secure the title.

The result caps off an impressive season for the Douglas man, who recently captained the Manx team to a dominant win at the Celtic Match Races, their first since 2010.

A Change of Scenery

Cringle had initially decided not to compete on the roads in 2026, instead opting to set up the LPA Racing team to assist his brother, Jamie. After the latter’s heavy crash in the second Monster Energy Supersport encounter at this year’s TT Races, the team acquired the services of guest rider Johnny Stewart for the Manx Grand Prix, who duly repaid the favour by winning both the Supersport and Senior contests.

Meanwhile, Ryan continued to race in the aforementioned supermoto class, as well as appearing at the Manx round of the British Enduro Championship and a host of local off-road events.

The Manxman also elected to ride at the Superbiker Mettet event, the finale of the Supermoto World Championship, where he recorded an impressive top-25 finish against the discipline’s finest riders.
