Curtain Set to Rise on Macbeth

The curtain will rise to unveil Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Gaiety Theatre this week.

Parodos Theatre Company will return to the Manx stage with Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy from tomorrow (April 3).

In a unique initiative to engage the island’s youth, Parodos has scheduled a special morning performance for the island’s secondary school students.

Macbeth Performances

This aims to deepen the students’ understanding of this classic text, which is a staple in the GCSE and A-Level English and Drama curriculum.

Students will not only watch the performance but also participate in a post-show discussion with the cast, exploring the play’s key themes and speeches.

Evening performances will be open to the general public, offering an opportunity for all to witness this powerful production.
