Local dancers travelled to North Wales to participate in the world-renowned Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
Perree Bane was invited to showcase traditional Manx dance through a series of lively performances and workshops around the festival field and Llangollen town.
From bustling streets to shaded courtyards, their spirited displays brought a taste of Manx heritage to international audiences, building cultural bridges and sparking curiosity about the Isle of Man.

A particular highlight was delivering a workshop in a Welsh high school, where students embraced the opportunity to learn about another Celtic nation’s traditions — and eagerly mastered some distinctly Manx dance steps.
“It was a joy to see how keen the students were to explore Manx culture and try out a few moves themselves,” said Ben Harris, Chair of Perree Bane.
“Moments like this show how much we have in common across Celtic nations, and how dance and music naturally bring us together.”

They also thank the organisers of the Eisteddfod and all who joined in learning about the rich traditions of the Isle of Man.
