The deadline for Culture Vannin’s applications for its Treisht26 £500 creative project grants is less than a week away.
These grants are designed to help you bring the Manx language to life in the lead-up to the 2026 Year of the Manx Language.
Artists, musicians, teachers, content creators, storytellers, and anyone with a passion for Manx are encouraged to apply.
The first deadline for applications is Friday, July 25.
Language Projects
Dr Breesha Maddrell said: “We have been delighted by the creativity and energy shown in the applications we have received so far and we are excited to see even more brilliant ideas come forward.
“It doesn’t matter if you know just a few words of Manx, it is creativity and enthusiasm for the language that we are looking for. We are here to help with words, phrases, and sound files.”
Project ideas might include creating new artwork, writing or arranging songs, hosting workshops or performances, developing school activities, producing digital content, or any other imaginative way to celebrate and share the language.
