Households that are due to have their bins collected tomorrow by Douglas City Council may experience delays.
The disruption to the service is due to an issue at the Energy from Waste Facility.
The EFW was forced to close on today (July 14), due to an operational issue, which the plant Operator, Suez is currently working to resolve.
Bin Collection
Douglas Council says that this issue has meant that no vehicles are currently permitted access to tip.
Once the matter is resolved the Council’s refuse vehicles will need to tip the waste collected today, before they can commence tomorrow’s collection.
The Council says that this means delays are possible for tomorrow (July 15).
