The company behind a proposed major redevelopment on Lord Street has withdrawn its application.
Wyyttavin Ltd’s plans had been for a 14 storey building including multiscreen cinema, offices and 85 flats on the site of the long demolish bus station.
The plans also included a bus terminal and was due to receive public funds to aid the development
However, on Wednesday a company director wrote to planners saying: “I am writing to you in my capacity as a director of Wyyttavin Ltd which currently has a planning application with you planning application number 24/00586/B.
“The company Wyyttavin Ltd is withdrawing the planning application. If you can please confirm that this application is withdrawn fully at your earliest convenience.”
