A dog was saved from drowning in Douglas yesterday.
A Black New Foundland Dog in distress attracted the attention of a passer-by at the Tongue. A white Retriever Dog was found in trouble and struggling to stay above the water.
The man alerted the Coastguard and went down onto a boat in the Harbour and was able to grab hold of the dog as he was going down the Harbour in the flow of the river.
Th Coastguard said both dogs were later reunited with their owner.
