A local scaffolder is unrecognisable after shaving off his decade-old dreads for charity.
Jiffy Buss, full name Jonathan Bussey, raised £750 for Isle of Play with the stunt, smashing his £500 target.
He said: “Some of you have never seen me without them – my kids included.”
The idea came to Jiffy after a change in jobs “turned my life upside down”.
“When TT started I was a skipper of a fishing boat, now I’m scaffolding.”
It was a new career and a “new me”.
He added: “It’s hard to believe how much has been made for the Isle of Play, I’m glad I made the effort.”
Isle of Play thanked Jiffy in a post on Facebook before joking: “Isle of Play haircuts are now available for all those who want an uneven buzz cut!”
