The government says it has identified over £11.8m in potential financial benefits through its Efficiencies and Change Programme.
In the Q2 report, Chief Minister Alfred Cannan says the focus has moved “from putting strong structures and governance in place to ensure the Programme can deliver lasting results, into tangible scaling, and the progression of key projects”.
Achievements listed for the quarter include the launch of online pre-paid prescription certificates and a new Fixed Penalty Notice portal.
The Programme’s operational update shows 180 initiatives identified, with 145 in progress and 35 completed. To date, £697k has been invested.
Manx Care
Separately, Manx Care’s Cost Improvement Programme has achieved £5.7m in savings this quarter towards its £14.6m target for the 2025/26 financial year.
The government-wide programme continues to develop projects across its five themes, building foundations for its long-term goal of delivering at least £50m in efficiencies over five years.
