Andrew Corrin is the eighth candidate to declare their intentions to run for MHK in Arbory, Castletown & Malew.
Mr Corrin made the announcement on his social media page and said he had been thinking about it for a while. He is currently the show director for the Royal Manx Agricultural Society and he said he wanted to wait until after the show to announce his intention.
The other candidates are: Juan Christian, Steve Crowther, Mark Firth, Kirrie Jenkins, Jason Moorhouse, Abby Quirk and Geoff Sutcliffe. Tim Glover who was elected in 2021 announced in June that he would not be defending his seat.
