A 90‑year‑old woman has died following a collision involving a horse and cart in Ballaugh.
An occupant of the cart, Mrs Anne Kennedy Woods, was seriously injured in the incident on Killane Road at 10.48am on Thursday, July 30 and was flown to a UK hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed she died from her injuries on Wednesday (August 5) morning. Her family have asked for privacy.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters on 631212, quoting investigation reference 97/5236/26.
Police have urged the public to avoid speculation and respect the family’s wishes.
