Issy Ennett and Ballyvadd Sarco completed their first CCIS J2* at Cornbury House International, delivering a determined performance that saw the pair finish 22nd.
The Manx event rider produced a tidy dressage on Friday (September 11), scoring 24.6, despite a momentary error of course she later joked was “the useless rider going the wrong way”.
A single pole in the showjumping and 1.6 time faults left added 5.6 penalties heading into cross‑country, where the combination delivered a strong, forward round.
They had an early 20 penalties on course, but Ballyvadd Sarco answered every question from there.
Their final score of 82.6 secured a full completion on debut at the level, marking an important milestone for both horse and rider.
