It’s back! ‘The Dining Car’ is back and it has an exciting 2024 season of culinary delights lined up.
The season is to kick off with events for Easter; along with quiz nights, music nights, leisurely lunch clubs, food from around the globe, and of course visits from our lovely local booze venders (count me in).

The Wine Cellar, Isle of Cider and Gin and Sin with Fynoderee are my personal highlights of the calendar.
For those of you who may not get excited by the prospect of a lovely G&T or wine tasting on a historic steam train, panic not! The Dining Car caters for every member of the family to enjoy.
There is pie and mash, the ever popular curry club, french classic; I’m not going to name them all, as truthfully the offering is vast and I’m getting too excited dribbling at the food on offer.
Many of it’s events sell fast (I have fallen victim to this) so to avoid disappointment take a look sooner rather than later here.
The season starts on March 29 and will wrap up by the end of October, thats a solid seven months of dining and drinking, I’m here for it.
Douglas Station Booking Office opens today (March 6).
Alternatively reservations can be made by 01624 697457 or steamdining@gov.im
