New Year’s Eve plans are in tatters for those expecting to be able to sail on or off the island today with the final sailings of the year cancelled.
Manxman’s 8:45am sailing to Heysham and 2:15pm return have been cancelled due to the weather, with gusts of up to 50-55mph expected.
Following last night’s cancelled sailings, the decision has left some passengers far from where they wanted to be tonight.
The company said: “Due to the forecast adverse weather this sailing has been cancelled.
“If you have a registered account on our website then you can log on and amend your booking online, alternatively you can contact our reservations team on 01624 661661 or 08722 992 992 after 08:00hrs to make alternative arrangements.”
The next scheduled sailing is January 1’s 8:45am sailing to Heysham.
