Passengers due to fly to Gatwick on this morning’s easyJet flight have been landed with a delay of several hours.
The flight had been due to leave Ronaldsway at 11:35.
However, passengers face a long wait through to this evening with Ronaldsway saying the flight is now due to leave at 6:30pm, thought easyJet says 7:30pm.
The airline said: “This is because of a technical issue that needs to be inspected by our engineers.
“The safety of you and our crew is our highest priority and we thank you for your patience while we complete the necessary checks. We’ll update you as soon as we know more.”
Earlier today the passengers on the inbound flight were stuck onboard for 20 minutes due to high winds impeding ground staff attaching stairs.
