Passengers on this morning’s easyJet arrival from Gatwick were left sitting onboard at Ronaldsway due the winds.
Earlier this week high winds resulted in the Liverpool flight going back with passengers still onboard as winds prevented the steps being used.
High winds mean ground staff could not move steps to the aircraft to allow them to disembark when it first arrived.
Manx.News has been sent a video of the pilot speaking to passengers informing them of the situation.
He said that the ground crew cannot use the steps in winds exceeding 40 knots and they are recording speeds of 44.
The Pilot said: “So basically, they need a hard number from the Met Office below 40 knots before they can use the steps. So make yourself comfortable. As soon as it drops below that, we will endeavour to get the doors open.
“I gather, quite a few days ago, it didn’t and they just flew back to Gatwick [was Liverpool] with everybody on board.
“So we’re keeping fingers crossed that that doesn’t happen, but it’s just that is the perils of high winds in this particular location anyway, we’ll keep you posted.”
Fortunately, the steps were attached about 20 minutes after the flight arrived, allowing passengers to get off.
