We will experience four seasons this weekend, not the luxury hotel, the utterly unpredictable and changeable Manx weather.
It’s time to dig out the wellies, waterproofs, waders, kayaks as we prepare for a pretty wet day, but remember to put them away for the other seasons.
July is somewhat confused and not giving us much summer, I’m unsure why we are hearing reports of ‘the hottest day of the year’ across mainstream media, because it sure as hell has happened here.
Today (July 20) will quickly turn wet, the rain heavy at times (8-12mm with a risk of 15-20mm), before gradually clearing away during the evening.
It will be windy enough too and building as the day goes on as its forecast to be a S 10-15, backing SE during the morning, veering NW 20-25 in the evening.
Another Season
Tomorrow (July 21) will be a flirt of summer, but still not that warm with top temperatures of 16C.
Much of the day will be dry with bright or sunny spells, but turning cloudy later with outbreaks of some more bloody rain developing overnight.
Wind is forecast to be W or NW 15-20, backing S or SW 20-25, decreasing SW 15-20 later.
Visibility will generally be good, occasionally moderate or poor in any rain later.
Outlook
Monday (July 22) will be windy enough and cloudy at first with outbreaks of rain.
It’s forecast to be shifting the bad weather for later in the day and forecast turn dry with bright or sunny spells developing.
Wind will start off with a SW 20-25 veering NW, decreasing 10-15, becoming variable 05-10 later.
Tuesday (July 23) is looking much more like it, but again not too warm – still not been sunburnt and its nearly August.
Top temperature of 16C and the Met Office has forecast it to be dry with sunny spells.
The wind will be a W 10-15 backing S 15-20.
