Foraging Vintners has stepped in with a gesture of support for Sidecar competitors after organisers cancelled all remaining Sidecar races at TT 2026.
The Port Erin bar posted an open invitation to any Sidecar crews now unable to compete, offering them a free drink and a place to “soak up some sun” following a difficult 24 hours for the class.
The cancellation follows an incident at Crosby, which left Callum and Ryan Crowe in hospital. Race organisers launched an immediate technical and operational review, and after assessing the circumstances with the event organisers took the decision to suspend the Sidecar class for the rest of the event.
A spokesperson said the move was a precautionary safety measure, stressing that while the history and commitment of Sidecar competitors is recognised, the safety of riders, spectators, marshals and officials “must remain the priority”.
All Sidecar teams have since been briefed on the outcome of the initial review and the next steps in the assessment process.
