Today will be cloudy as an area of rain gradually spreads across the island from the south, turning to sleet or snow over the hills, but falling as rain at lower levels.

Top temperature around 5°C, but feeling much colder in the strong easterly wind, which will back to the northeast during the morning.

The rain, sleet and hill snow will turn to wintry showers tonight, as the wind turns to the north or northeast and starts to ease. Minimum temperature generally around 2°C, but close to freezing over the hills.

Outlook

Tomorrow will be fairly cloudy with scattered showers, which may still be wintry over the hills. The northerly wind will fall light and variable, with highs of 6°C.

Mostly dry and bright on Sunday, with sunny spells and only isolated showers. A light to moderate south to south-westerly wind with maximum temperature around 7°C.
