Island Fuels says it currently has no fuel available for delivery, with its on‑island supplier also awaiting the arrival of the next shipment.
The next shipment is expected between Friday and Monday.
The company told Manx.News it is still accepting orders but is warning customers that prices may change once the new shipment arrives.
Until then, it has no red diesel, white diesel or kerosene available.
Facing Delays
Customers seeking kerosene face further delays, with one larger supplier reporting a three week wait for deliveries.
The update follows the Chief Minister moved to reassure Tynwald members that the island is not facing a supply shortage.
Earlier this week, Alfred Cannan said that while global market pressures would lead to local price rises this week, the island’s supply chain remained stable.
“There is no fuel supply shortage on the island, and there are currently no threats to our supply chain,” Mr Cannan said. “Both major fuel suppliers have confirmed that deliveries remain on schedule, and refinery loadings are proceeding as planned, with no foreseen disruption to physical supply.”
Mr Cannan acknowledged that rising prices would “cause concern for many”, particularly those reliant on home heating oil.
Fuel suppliers, he said, had confirmed they would monitor vulnerable customers and were prepared to extend credit or offer support where needed.
Island Fuels expects normal deliveries to resume once the incoming shipment reaches the harbour in the coming days.
