The Licensing Court has agreed to a change in the Gaiety Theatre’s licensed area to allow drinking in seats.
VillaGaiety says it will undertake preparatory works to adapt bar operations during the forthcoming January 2025 maintenance period.
Once this work is complete theatre-goers will soon be able to enjoy a beverage of choice while watching a show from February 2025 onwards, with mitigations in place to responsibly and safely manage the welfare of all audience members.
Bars will continue to remain closed during theatre performances because let’s face it there would be nothing more annoying for viewers and it would be incredibly rude for those on stage.
