The DoI has blamed Unite the Union for ongoing disruption, as bus drivers began another wave of strike action today.
Services are significantly reduced, with no school buses operating.
However, the DoI has got the MER running between Ramsey and Douglas and parking on Douglas Promenade remains free.
In a statement titled “Unite the Union’s strike affecting bus passengers again”, the DoI said: “Bus Vannin has had two meetings this week with the Manx Industrial Relations Service to try to find a way forward.
“It remains ready and willing to have positive and constructive negotiations. Bus Vannin’s six offers remain on the table as a basis for further discussions.
“The Department of Infrastructure is committed to reaching an agreement that does not increase bus fares or reduces bus services.”
Unite has announced strike dates for four days every week in March on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
During the walkouts, the DoI said its priority will be maintaining services between Douglas and Noble’s Hospital, and between Douglas and the island’s main towns.
Normal services are expected to resume on Tuesday.
