The Department for Enterprise has stated it does not promote any type of accommodation over another during the TT and MGP events.
Responding to a question from Onchan MHK Callister, the Minister for Enterprise, Tim Johnston, said his department showcases a range of options.
“The department does not promote any type of accommodation over another during the major motorsport events, instead showcasing the variety of options to meet the needs of each individual visitor,” the Minister said.
The response highlighted that Visit Isle of Man markets the events through social media and newsletters, with a distribution of around 70,000, directing visitors to the official website.
Options
“The website pages promote the various types of accommodation available on the island during the events with differing price points and options.
“This gives the visitors a range of options to suit their specific needs e.g. hotels, self-catering, camping, glamping, motorhome pitches,” Mr Johnston added.
