Govt to Launch Health Innovation Challenge

Digital Isle of Man has unveiled plans for a Health and Social Care Innovation Challenge as part of its 2026 innovation programme.

Developed in partnership with the DHSC, it will focus on technology-led solutions to improve patient outcomes, enhance service efficiency, and support frontline health and care professionals.

The challenge was announced during the 2025 Innovation Challenge Finale by Lyle Wraxall, CEO of Digital Isle of Man, Minister Claire Christian and the Department for Enterprise’s Interim Chief Officer Tim O’Neill.

Mr Wraxall said: “Health and Social Care is a natural and exciting evolution for the Innovation Challenge.

“With a proven model for innovation and cross-government collaboration, we now have a powerful opportunity to focus our efforts on the areas of public life where innovation can have the greatest impact.”

“By building on our track record, we can deliver meaningful change that benefits both our public services and the wider community,” he added.

The new challenge follows the structure of this year’s successful competition, which attracted global innovators across Cleantech, FinTech and Data & AI.
