Innovators from 14 global teams have showcased breakthrough tech solutions at the Innovation Challenge finale, highlighting the island’s role in driving global innovation.
Held at the Comis Hotel, the event attracted over 200 attendees from the Isle of Man’s business and tech community.
This year’s winners—Lnk Technologies (Cleantech), Binderr (FinTech), and Tandem by Early Ideas IOM (Data & AI)—were celebrated for their scalable solutions addressing key industry challenges.
A dedicated Biosphere Award was presented to Big Bower, recognised for its contribution to the Isle of Man’s UNESCO Biosphere status.
Connection
The 2025 Challenge, delivered by the Department for Enterprise’s executive agencies, welcomed entries across Cleantech, FinTech, and Data & AI, with finalists selected from over 100 registrations across 20+ countries.
Each received four months of mentorship, regulatory access, and real-world testing.
Bold
Tim Johnston, Minister for Enterprise, said in his closing speech: “The Innovation Challenge is about connection – between sectors, between people, between ideas and action. It’s how we turn bold thinking into real-world impact for our island and beyond.”
Jason Bissell, Chair of the UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man Board, also highlighted the role of research in aligning innovation with Biosphere values.
Winners gain six months of promotion, mentorship, and investor access.
Applications for the 2026 Challenge open in November.
