The Great North Air Ambulance Service is offering the public the chance to win a luxury trip to Barbados by taking part in their annual raffle.
The ‘Take Flight Raffle’ has been launched to raise vital funds for the air ambulance charity, which relies on public donations to survive.
Every £1 ticket bought will support GNAAS’ mission to keep families and communities together by providing life-saving care across the North.

The charity, which has a base in the North East and Cumbria, responded to 2,083 incidents in the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and the Isle of Man.
With a highly skilled doctor, critical care paramedic and experienced pilot on board, they bring the hospital directly to the patient, and can perform major surgery, administer anaesthesia and deliver blood products right at the scene.
It costs approximately £9.3m a year for the charity to remain operational, so to help fund their life-saving missions, they are inviting the public to purchase tickets for their raffle.

The top prize is a getaway to the Caribbean, which includes a two-week stay for up to four guests to Glitter Bay, Barbados.
There are also two cash prizes of £2,000 and £500 up for grabs.

The raffle will close on November 28 and the winners will be drawn two weeks later on December 12.
