Peter Hickman has provided fans with an update on his recovery following a crash during qualifying at this year’s TT.
“Overall recovery has been pretty good, to be quite honest,” Hickman said. “Bones wise, shoulder, ribs, back, all the rest of it. It’s all pretty good, like I can move around quite a lot. Have no real problems walking or anything like that.”
However, he confirmed lingering issues: “I’ve still damaged my left knee quite a lot, which is still a little bit inflamed at the minute”.
The primary concern is nerve damage on his right side.
He said: “I’ve severely damaged my bronchial Plexus nerve, which also means my axillary nerve on my right side, so my deltoid muscles not firing at all, which means I can’t lift my right arm very well at the minute.”
