A helicopter from HM Coastguard at Caernarfon has been involved in a search and rescue incident this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard told Manx.News: “Shortly after 2.15pm this afternoon, HM Coastguard were tasked to an incident in the Nairbyl region of the Isle of Man. A HM Coastguard helicopter from Caernarfon was sent, alongside Port Erin RNLI inshore and all-weather lifeboats. Police were also in attendance”
Nobles Hospital
Local Coastguards confirmed that a casualty had been located and was transferred to Nobles Hospital by helicopter where it landed at 5.50pm this evening.
Earlier in the day the police has closed the road around The Sloc due to the search for a missing person.
There has been no information released as to the condition of the person involved.
