Andreas Parish Commissioners have given an update on the village’s new park.
It hopes that all the work will be completed in early 2025, and the park to officially open in the spring.
Site clearance for the new play park by Paul Carey Services will start on September 2, with installation by Kompan planned to start on September 16.
The site area will be secured by Heras fencing leaving access to the existing play park from the toilet side only.
New Park
Following the site clearance, the new equipment will be installed ahead of new grass turf being laid followed by the industry standard rubber grass mats being placed around the play equipment.
The Commissioners would like to extend thanks to all those who have made donations to enable this work to take place.
The local authority especially want to thank the Elizabeth Clucas Charitable Trust and the Manx Lottery Trust whose very generous donations have enabled this project to move ahead so quickly.
