Hotel, catering and bar work tops a list of categories for the number of advertised job positions in the past 12 months.
The information has been revealed by the Treasury in response to a Freedom of Information request that sought the number of advertised positions at the Job Centre, in several positions, over the past 12 months.
Top of the list is hotel/caterer/bar work with 665.
Next on the list is retail/sales/wholesale/buyer, with 329; then other admin/clerical on 285. The other categories were as follows: cleaning services, 164; customer service, 156; driver: other, 120; farming/agricultural and fisheries, 38; information technology, 132, production/assembly operative, 9.
