Yasmin Ingham has been named as the ‘alternate combination‘ for the British eventing team at the Paris Olympics.
Last month, the Manx rider and Banzai Du Loir were confirmed as one of four combinations selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 Games.
The initial team announcement released the four British riders and horses without specifying which three pairs made up the team and which will act as the alternate.
The Olympic eventing format brought in for the Tokyo Olympics allows for the alternate to be swapped in if necessary before any of the three tests, under certain circumstances, at a cost of 20 penalties to the team score.
The 27-year-old will head to Paris later this month with the rest of the British team.
