The Isle of Man features in James Blunt’s recently released documentary ‘James Blunt: One Brit Wonder’ on Netflix.
The documentary follows the singer’s complex journey from solider to stardom and his 2022 comeback tour.
James played at the Villa Marina in February 2022, and in true Manx style, he was welcomed to the island with a yellow weather warning for wind.
It shows James wandering along Douglas promenade in less than ideal weather conditions before his show in 2022.
He met fans, with one Manxie admitting to James that he ‘looks better in real life than on TV’.
James got to experience the Manx winter that we are all rather well acquainted with, including ferry cancellations and the risk of flight disruption.
The Isle of Man Airport also features, as he explains that he booked three flights to leave the island to ‘cover all bases’.
Alas, the You’re Beautiful singer did manage to escape the island.
