Peel RNLI has received a £3,750 donation from Seaboard Trading after employees selected the lifeboat station as the company’s charity partner for the year.
Representatives Matthew Bird, Alan Hoppers and Charlotte Clarke recently visited Peel Lifeboat Station to present the donation and watch the launch of the station’s Shannon-class all-weather lifeboat, Frank and Brenda Winter.
Following the visit, Charlotte Clarke said the team had enjoyed learning more about the work carried out by the RNLI.
Peel RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager Paul Thompson thanked Seaboard Trading for its support, saying the visit gave staff the opportunity to see first-hand how the donation would help support the station’s lifesaving operations.
The RNLI relies on donations and community support to maintain its lifeboats, train volunteer crews and keep essential equipment ready for service.
Peel RNLI said the contribution would help support its volunteer crew and ongoing lifesaving work at sea.
