If you were raised on the island, you’ll be more than well acquainted with the infamous Kirk Michael Chippy.
Remembering its location every night of the week was a talent for many, as was the feeling of joy informing your household that it was chippy night in the village.
The chippy van that was a core childhood memory is now under new ownership.

At the end of last year, Juan and Heather Howland bought the business from Simon, but they say it has taken them ‘a little longer to get up and running’ than they’d hoped.
Some of you may know Juan and Heather from their farm shop on St Judes Road, Sulby, but for those who don’t, they look forward to meeting everyone soon.
The pair said they’ve got a ‘tough act to follow’ but are thankful that Simon has kindly offered to oversee the first few opening nights.
