Year 13 students at King William’s College are celebrating the school’s best International Baccalaureate results since 2015.
The school recorded a 100% pass rate and an average score of 34.2 points for full Diploma Programme candidates.
More than half of students scored above 35 points, placing them in a highly competitive bracket for entry to leading universities.
Four achieved 40 points or more, a world‑class performance equivalent to AAAA** at A‑Level. KWC’s average score and pass rate again exceeded global figures of 30.88 points and 82.61%.
Three students who took IB Courses rather than the full Diploma achieved an average of 15.3 points across four or five subjects.
Over 90% of UCAS applicants have already secured their firm or insurance choices, with popular destinations including Durham, Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham, Amsterdam, Karlsruhe and Toronto.
Principal Damian Henderson praised the cohort’s commitment and the personalised support provided by staff, saying the results “open the door to so many distinctive destinations for further study, service and work”.
Attention now turns to Year 11, with (I)GCSE results due on August 20. Next summer, KWC will also publish A‑Level results for its first cohort of blended learners.
