This week is the last chance for residents of the capital to be nominated for Douglas City Council’s Community Awards.
The Young Hero category is open for children under the age of 15 and a Community Champion is for ratepayers who have made a “significant difference” in the capital.
The awards are in their fifth year and recognise those from Douglas who have gone “above and beyond” and are making a ‘genuine difference’ in the capital.
Residents have until 31 October to submit nominations – you can find out how to nominate someone: Community Awards Scheme – Douglas City Council – Isle of Man
Councillor Natalie Byron-Teare says awards are ‘inspiring’ and cover a broad range including charity work, fundraising and working with children.
