Organisers have confirmed that Le Dans 24 will not take place in 2026, citing rising costs and personal commitments.
The cycling event, which has run for five years in memory of Manx road racer Dan Kneen, has raised more than £23,000 for the Dan Kneen Charitable Fund.
In a statement, the Fund said: “After careful consideration, we’ve taken the decision not to stage Le Dans 24 in 2026. Rising costs, limited time, and the personal commitments involved in delivering an event of this scale mean it isn’t possible for us to run it this year in the way we would want to.”
The Fund confirmed the charity remains fully active, with its focus now on delivering TORQ, a welfare support service for the road-racing community.
“TORQ provides confidential, non-clinical support to riders, families and marshals affected by serious incidents across the road-racing community, and this work remains our priority,” the statement added.
Organisers paid tribute to those who have backed the event over the years, saying: “Le Dans has been a brilliant community effort. Although Le Dans will take a break, the Dan Kneen Charitable Fund remains fully active.”
Entries already received will be refunded, with organisers set to contact participants directly. Future fundraising activity remains under review.
