The likely closure of the Family Library will be the subject of an urgent question in Tynwald on Tuesday.
Education Minister Daphne Caine will be asked about the closure by Lib Vannin’s Lawrie Hooper.
Earlier this week the library announced it faces closure on July 31, citing rising costs and declining income.
It is not the first time its finances has thrown its future into doubt.
Mr Hooper will ask Mrs Caine: “What recent discussions have been held with the Family Library in respect of financial support or their potential closure; what recent discussions have been held about these matters within Government; and if she will make a statement?”
